頑張る (がんばる）: Let's do this, together!
The start of fall 202 semester surely look different from the past.
Ordinary weekly events such as going out to eat twice a weekly are now replaced by the biweekly COVID testing.
Despite all adversity, the Japan House put together the spirit-lifting 12hr long online event 頑張る in place of our traditional matsuri and showed that we can do all that seemed impossible if we do it together!
Carrying the the spirit of 頑張る, our tea group continues classes online this semester. In stead of focusing on the inconvenience of virtual teaching, we are embracing the online format by brining members from Japan and Chicago who normally would not be able to join us. Let's cherish this special connection brought by virtual learning and start another semester of tea study with a grateful, curious heart of the beginner.
We can do it, together!
