敬心：with the warmest kokoro
Kokoro (心）is a Japanese word encompassing multiple meanings including "mind", "heart", and "spirit".
While I think it's important to respect other people's kokoro, I think it's equally important to respect your own kokoro. You can't fully respect other people until you can respect yourself. You need to respect your own kokoro, your own abilities and emotions, so you can be the best person you can be.
Earlier in the year we had a discussion about kokoro, or more specifically what shape or form that we want our kokoro to take. I felt that this idea really aligned with the statement because, if we form our kokoro with ideas that emphasize respect then that will become apparent in our interactions with ourselves, nature, and one another.
